A DUMBARTON care home worker braved the shave for Macmillan Cancer Support at the weekend.
Matthew Fraerson, 20, is glad it's summer – if you can call the current climate that – because he's already feeling the cold.
“It's the first time I've had my hair shaved [like this],” the Castle View care home kitchen worker from Helensburgh said.
“I was a little nervous but only in case they cut off my eyebrows or my ear or something.
“I've had a few people looking at me differently and I've noticed my head is definitely a bit colder.
“It's a good thing that technically it's summer.”
Mr Fraerson has so far raised close to £450. He signed up last month after a close friend of his mother who had cancer passed away.
“I was thinking of doing it for a while and that gave me the kick to go and do it,” he said.
“It's for a great cause, I hope it can help fund more Macmillan nurses.”
