DETECTIVES are investigating the death of a man found lying injured in a Bonhill street.
The 43-year-old was discovered in George Street Lane around 8.40am last Thursday.
He was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he died.
Police Scotland confirmed the death is being treated as unexplained and the exact circumstances of the man’s death are still being investigated.
A police spokesman said: “Around 8.40am on Thursday, September 22, police were called to George Street Lane in Bonhill after a 43 year-old man was found seriously injured.”

“He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, but died a short time later.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances at this time.”
