A driver was stopped in their tracks after being pulled over by road cops in Dumbarton.
Officers from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit in the town stopped the motorist on the A82 earlier this afternoon.
Police said the man hadn't realised that there was a crack in his car's chassis - the base frame of the vehicle.
The car was prohibited from moving any further.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Early shift Dumbarton RP stopped this vehicle on the A82 in Dumbarton this afternoon.
"The driver didn't realise he had a crack on the chassis. Vehicle prohibited from moving any further."
