A SECTION of a busy Dumbarton residential street has closed suddenly in both directions on Thursday.
West Dunbartonshire Council announced Round Riding Road from Kilpatrick View to the junction of the A82 has been shut to motorists due to emergency repair works.
Last week, The Dumbarton and Vale Reporter told how the same part of the street was closed for ‘anti-skid surfacing.’
Now, drivers will have to follow diversion when passing through the road for the second Thursday in a row.
When posted on social media, one resident hoped the closure wouldn’t impact the afternoon school run.
They wrote: “[It] was closed last week for a day, hopefully, it's the same today as it's a road that's heavily used for parents taking their kids to school.”
The council apologised for any inconvenience caused.
