A woman was taken to hospital following Wednesday morning's rush hour road crash.

Earlier this morning, a two-car crash on the A82 at Bowling closed one lane of the southbound carriageway for around 35 minutes, causing tailbacks and traffic delays.

Police have now told the paper a woman was taken to a nearby hospital as a "precaution" as the road was cleared at around 9.33 am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, officers were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the A82 near Bowling.

“One woman was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley as a precaution.”
