DRIVERS are being warned of a road closure in Dumbarton later this month that is set to last up to five days.

West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) announced the closure on its website.

Glen Shira Drive will shut to traffic from the southern extended kerbline with Glentanar Crescent in a westerly direction for 50 metres or thereby on Thursday, March 14.

It is understood that this is to facilitate ironwork repairs being carried out in the area by Scottish Water.

The closure will be in place from 9.30am to 6pm each day.

WDC notes that the restrictions may only be applied as and when signed and will be kept to a minimum.

Emergency services will be permitted access.
